Running has been a passion of mine for several years. I started running after the birth of my third child. I began with local 10ks, then a couple half marathons, and even a couple sprint triathlons. I am by no means fast or super fit, but I love the challange of the competition. I love having a goal and going after it.Nov 14, I ran my first FULL MARATHON with my best friend and running partner Yvett! I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was blessed to share the day with my family who was there to cheer me on during this special day. I feel so thankful that I was able to train and finish with out injury. Now I look forward to doing it again next year!!
Now that my marathon training days are behind me (for now), I turn my focus back to Joy Marie's Boutique, another beloved passion. I am currently hard at work preparing for Dias Festivos Marketplace in McAllen, Texas the first weekend in December.

Congrats on your marathon run. I was there to cheer my little sister run her first 1/2 marathon. It was amazing to see so many runners.
